Capricorn Full Moon July 2008

One of the strongest beliefs in our culture is that you need to work hard to succeed.  No pain, no gain is something that is so innately buried in our thinking that most of us don't even know we think that way.  It may come from the bible, where we are told we must suffer on earth in order to reach our heavenly reward. 

I have a different creation story.  It's called - start as you mean to go on.  It's called - live what you mean to create.  You might also call it - walking your talk.

The Full Moon in Capricorn casts a revealing lunar light on our belief that we need to bust our guts to get ahead, to make a name for ourselves, to be successful, to create a satisfying and abundant life.  As Capricorn is always hoping to impress, the Full Moon shows where we betray ourselves at the deepest level in order to create an impression of success. 

The simple message of this Full Moon is - slow down, experience your natural energy and where it wants you to flow.  Allow the structure of your life to grow out of the flow of your natural energy.  As opposed to working hard to create a life structure that you THINK will make you happy.

What's a life structure?  Everything from relationships, family, where you live, the layout of your house, what you do with your time, your job.  Your life structure is the container within which you live your daily life. 

The Moon finds itself in the Crown Chakra, in the Gate of Inner Truth.  This gate is creating a mental pressure for you to understand what's happening in your life.  It has you wanting to think new things, mentally explore something new and unique.  The inspiration that comes from this gate is outside the collective consciousness.  It's brand new and it's relying on you to allow it in. 

Can you see how much clear space there is between the coloured gate in the Crown Chakra and the Throat Chakra?  It's a big leap.  The energy is not yet available for most of us to work with that new inspiration yet.  It's coming in, but we need to allow it to mature, to find it's way down to earth. 

What we are able to fully access right now is the Heart (G Centre) to Throat connection.  And that's where we find the Sun.  At the Throat Centre in the Gate of Small Things.  The yellow diamond is called the G Centre.  It represents the highest vibrational octave of the Heart Chakra.  It also represents your Identity and your Soul Direction in this life. 

The message the Sun is sending us is not to try to push ahead to meet some old idea about who you are and what you are here to do.  The Nodes and Pluto are also in this area of definition so you can be sure there is deep transformation afoot. 

Here's a list of some of the planetary placements.  See if you can spot a theme!

• Quaoar in Gate 26:  There is a difficulty if one goes forward, first be peaceful with oneself.
• Ixion in Gate 5: The ability to resist the temptation to take premature action and to be able to maintain composure and be comfortable in your own natural rhythm.
• Uranus in Gate 22: Simple grace where all ornament is discarded  The simplest fitness of your own natural form brings your value to the full.
• Jupiter in Gate 54: Taking the time to bring together the parts so that they create a healthy whole.
• Pluto in Gate 10:  the ability to be modest and to take a small part in proceedings with no false self-aggrandisement.

And so on. 

This week a new Plutoid was named.  Makemake (pronounced maki maki) is a South Pacific Creator God.  It is currently in Gate 6 and it's message to you is:

Retreat is a part of the process of creation.  It should not be seen as a failure.

When your energy tells you to be silent, to be still, to spend time alone, this is not because you are doing something wrong.  Creation and becoming has an in breath and an out breath.  Our culture works like this:  out, out, out, out, out, out, out, .........  No wonder asthma is at epidemic proportions, none of us gets the chance to draw a breath in peace! 
The in breath allows you to integrate your inner and outer being.  Without that integration there is no possibilty for wisdom, or for true success and peace/abundance.

Pushing for some type of external manifestation of what you sense inside you is not the way to create what is right for you in this life. 

Acknowledge and honour what you feel inside - the inspiration coming to you right now is essential to the evolution of this planet.  The timing is divine and moving forward too quickly is simply an act of fear and lack.  

One of my favourite quotes is from Gandalf in the Lord of the Rings - A wizard is never too early or too late.  A wizard is always on time. 

(Apologies to Gandalf, I'm sure that's not the exact quote.)

It's not just about people being busy.  I spent nearly 10 years out for the count with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome.  The reason I couldn't recover was that I was laying in bed, day after day, plagued by massive guilt over what I should be doing instead of giving myself the chance to recover.  I may have been laying very still, but no way was I relaxed and absolutely no way was I anywhere approaching my natural energy. Watch how often in your day you do something because you believe you should do it, rather than because you want to do it and you'll get a sense of the size of this issue in our lives.  This belief is chasing away the flow of abundance that we can sense but not quite touch.

When you really examine it, you'll find this issue goes deep into the core of your identity.

Capricorn has a tendency to create from a need for approval, a need to be seen to be succeeding.  There is a strong fear of failure lurking under it's successful facade.  This Full Moon is an excellent time to consider where a fear of failure may cause you to act in ways that are not to your ultimate benefit.  I watch so many people running to avoid the spectre of failure.  It's not real.  Your inspired thoughts over the next few days will show you ways to move out of that place.
